Shop hamlet was made up of several buildings, including:
- Shop – a house (and perhaps at some point a shop?)
- Little Shop – a cottage with attached barn
- The Bank Barn
- various other agricultural buildings.
Shop hamlet, like Hennard, was large enough and interesting enough to become a focus of detailed study during the preparation for the construction of Roadford Lake.
